Books on Kickstarter: Clio Chiang’s Stranger Danger

This week marks the final days of Clio Chiang’s Kickstarter campaign for Stranger Danger, a book of happily-voyeuristic watercolor sketches. Inspired by the fabulous residents of Los Angeles (where Clio works as a story artist on films like Frozen, Paperman, and Winnie-the-Pooh), Clio has filled eight sketchbooks with characters both quiet and ostentatious. The sketches are full-color, and the series feels like a full-bodied interpretation on a familiar theme:

You can snag a copy of the book—and some original art— on the Kickstarter campaign, and learn more about Clio’s process on her Tumblr blog.
